An energy audit is an inspection, survey and analysis of energy flows, for energy conservation in a building, process or system to reduce the amount of energy input into the system without negatively affecting the output(s). Reference:

ALPS MSI offers to conduct free energy audit 2 – 5 rotating machines whose methodologies are in compliance to International Performance Measurement Verification Protocol (IPMVP).

Our Procedures

1. Identifying potential energy savings

The energy requirements are determined and potential energy savings are identified:

  • Identification of the existing energy consumption of the plants;
  • Representation of the energy flow and possible savings potentials;M
  • Measurement of the power and grid quality;
  • Analysis of electric motors in terms of their workload and energy efficiency; and
  • Compilation of energy costs to deter- mine the potential energy savings.

2. Evaluating the collected data

The identified areas of potential savings are evaluated using different methods to establish a solid foundation for decision-making:

  • Incorporation of experience from similar plants through comparison with known applications;
  • Calculation of potential savings using SinaSave energy efficiency software;
  • Determination of investment costs taking lifetime, amortization, and feasibility into account ; and
  • Definition of measures and proposed solutions.

3. Implementing the energy optimization measures

The suitable products and specific implementation measures are determined and carried out. Selection of suitable components:

  • Retrofit and modernization of plant parts;
  • Provision of order support;
  • Project management and administration;
  • Engineering, project planning, set up, modifications, assembly, installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, and training; and
  • Review of results after a specified period of time.
