P+P Precision and Proactive Maintenance

Description

Precision lubrication and contamination control, precision shaft alignment, rotor balancing, mechanical and electrical fastening, and 5S and the visual workplace.

The participant will be provided an online video with a subscription duration of 3 months.

Hands-on training for one day on precision alignment, rotor balancing, bearing maintenance (not covered by the video), and electrical equipment testing for one day before the expiration of the subscription.

If you have rotating machinery, they must be precision lubricated, aligned, balanced, and fastened if you wish to achieve the longest trouble-free life and the
lowest maintenance costs. This course provides a very detailed summary of each of these technical areas.

iLearnAlignment: Precision Shaft Alignment and Soft Foot Elimination

The participant will be provided an online video with a subscription duration of 6 months. Hands-on training for two days before the expiration of the subscription at ALPS MSI Facility.

Precision alignment is one of the primary tools for maximizing the reliability of rotating machinery. Just the smallest amount of angle or offset between two shafts will result in excess load on the bearings, seals, shaft, and coupling. In addition, the vibration generated can result in accelerated failure of other machine components and the supporting structure. It has also been demonstrated that misaligned machines consume more energy.

iLearnReliability [Condition Monitoring] is intended for anyone who is working in a condition monitoring role, wanting to further their understanding of monitoring, diagnostics and precision maintenance to support increased plant reliability.  It covers the topics that you need to know to become a condition monitoring specialist or manager of a program.
